Cleaning & Safety - The Struggle is Real

COVID-19 has us all trying to keep ourselves and our homes clean and disinfected. These days it is hard to find disinfecting or cleaning products in stock due to high demand.  There are many "make-at-home" solutions out there on the internet; however, please be extremely cautious when mixing household products to create your own cleaning solutions.  Some of them can produce toxic fumes which when combined are very dangerous, damaging your respiratory system and/or your skin. Certain chemical products when mixed together in a bottle may also explode.  Remember to always use rubber gloves and some sort of face/eye protection to avoid inhaling fumes or worse.  Stay safe and healthy!

Household Products You Should Never Mix:

  • Bleach + Vinegar = creates chlorine gas

  • Bleach + Ammonia = creates chloramine gas

  • Bleach + Rubbing Alcohol = creates chloroform gas

  • Hydrogen Peroxide + Vinegar = creates peracetic or corrosive acid.
